IP Address Checker

Check any IP address: VPN, datacenter, Tor, country, ISP and risk score

Why check an IP address?

Look up network and location signals for an IP address as context for investigation. A VPN or hosting classification alone does not establish invalid traffic.

The checker looks up available network, location and classification data for the address you supply. VPNs and Tor also serve legitimate privacy needs; a hosting address can belong to an authorized monitoring service. Residential addresses can carry automated traffic. Correlate network signals with observed behavior before applying restrictions, and account for shared addresses and stale data. This lookup does not perform the full per-click behavioral scoring used by tracking, and cannot prove that an advertising click was fraudulent.

  • Shows country, ISP, ASN
  • Risk score 0–100 for each address

Example: interpret a finding and fix it

Illustration only, not a check of your website.

A customer using a VPN may still be making a legitimate purchase. Compare timing, frequency and behavior before considering a block; the network label is an investigation signal.

Several people may share a corporate or mobile-network address. Blocking the entire IP can affect other customers. Consider application-level rate limits or additional verification and observe the impact before broadening restrictions.

A residential IP does not prove a human visitor, and a datacenter IP does not prove a bot. Network and location data can be incomplete or outdated. An IP lookup cannot establish fraud or an advertising refund.

  2. 2Click "Check IP" to look up the classification and network.
  3. 3See the IP type (VPN/datacenter/Tor), country, ISP and risk score.

Frequently asked questions

Does a VPN or datacenter label prove fraud?
No. Legitimate visitors use VPNs and automation can use residential addresses. Correlate behavior, frequency and context before restricting access.
How is the current IP score calculated?
It starts at 100 and deducts 70 for Tor, 50 for datacenter or 40 for VPN, using the highest-priority matching category only. A higher value means fewer classification deductions, not a fraud probability or safety certification.
Does this checker block IPs?
No. It performs a manual lookup. Tracking uses separate behavioral signals; exporting and applying a blocklist needs review to avoid excluding legitimate visitors.
How do I check my own IP?
Use Use my IP to retrieve the public address of your connection. A VPN or corporate network can make this different from your local network address.
